Description
DIAPOL 790 SL is a one-component polyester resin designed for the impregnation of electrotechnical components operating at elevated temperatures. The product is used in both static and dynamic impregnation of electric motor windings.
The resin provides good adhesion to polyimide films (Kapton) and fiberglass. Due to its high thermal resistance, it can be used in devices operating in temperature class H (180°C).
The system can be used in impregnation processes such as dipping, vacuum impregnation (VPI), trickle impregnation, or roll-dipping.
One-component, unsaturated polyester resin.
Temperature class: H (180°C)
Typical curing process:
2–4 hours at 140°C
additional curing 2 hours at 180°C to improve mechanical properties
